Payment Methods
We accept payments using Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover/Novus® and eCheck via PayPal®.

We also accept money order payments in US funds via mail order. To place an order by mail, please print your shopping cart page and mail with your money order to:

If you do not have access to a printer, please write down all of the information shown on the “VIEW SHOPPING BAG” page and your contact information on a sheet of paper.

At this time, we cannot accept personal or company checks for purchases. Any checks received for purchases will be immediately returned to the customer. In addition, any money orders that are not in US funds will also be immediately returned to the customer. We regret any inconvenience that might be caused by this policy.

Unfortunately, we must collect sales tax for any orders shipped to addresses in the state of Virginia. Any orders shipped to a Virginia address will be charged the standard 5% sales tax. Orders shipped outside of Virginia will not be charged sales tax.

Order Confirmation
After completing the checkout process, you will receive a receipt and order number, as well as an e-mail acknowledging your order. When your items are ready for shipment, you will receive a second confirmation e-mail with the shipping details and tracking number.

Processing Time (Note CHANGES In Italics, Effective July 23, 2007!)
Processing times depend on the type of item you are ordering.

Collection Orders:
Collection items are normally completed and shipped within four weeks (28 days) after we receive payment in full for your order. If you need your order faster, we do offer an expedited processing service for an additional charge assessed at 20% of your total order. Expedited orders will be processed within seven (7) calendar days. Please note that the turnaround time is solely for the production of Collection items and does not include shipping time.

Couture and Custom Orders:
Processing times for Couture and Custom orders will be determined based on factors such as the complexity of the design and availability of materials needed to create the order. Generally, we prefer to allow at least eight (8) weeks to process Couture and Custom orders. We will provide an approximate timeframe in conjunction with the cost estimate for couture and collection customization orders. If you need your Couture or Custom order faster than the minimum timeframe, we may be able to offer an expedited processing service for an additional charge assessed at up to 25% of your original cost quotation.

Shipping Methods And Charges
When your items are ready for shipment, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the shipping details and tracking number.

Once your order has been placed, we cannot allow new items to be added your order. Each order that you place will be treated as a separate package. Please do not ask us to combine the shipping on new orders with pending orders.

Domestic Orders:
All orders within the United States are shipped via Priority Mail® through the United States Postal Service®,. Shipping and handling charges include both insurance for your item and tracking services. Priority Mail® shipping typically takes 2 to 3 business days, although this timeframe is not guaranteed. Shipping and handling charges are based on the total cost of your order, as follows:

Overnight shipping within the United States is available for an additional charge of $25 per package. Your package will be shipped via United States Postal Service® Express Mail®.

International Orders:
At this time, international shipping is available only upon request. All international orders are shipped via Global Express Mail® through the United States Postal Service®. Shipping and handling charges for International orders include both insurance and tracking. Shipping and handling charges for international orders are based on your location and the size of the package.

If you are placing an order to be shipped to a destination outside the United States, you must e-mail Peacock Blue Design Studio before placing your order. Please e-mail us with all of the details about the items you would like to order from the “VIEW SHOPPING BAG” page. Do not proceed to checkout if you are placing an international order. If you place an international order without contacting us first, we will refund your charges and cancel your order.

Please note that international buyers will be solely responsible for all custom fees, duties, taxes, etc., incurred once the package reaches the destination country. We will not accept returns for packages because you do not want to pay the customs fees. No refunds will be issued for items returned from International Shipments without our prior authorization.

Within 48 hours of receiving your e-mail request for an international order, we will issue a PayPal® invoice that includes the total for your order with international shipping and handling charges.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse further service to any customer who fails to respond to invoices for more than two international orders.

Gift Cards
Peacock Blue Design Studio Gift Cards are available in a variety of denominations. Gift Card orders will processed within 4-5 business days. Each Gift Card will be sent in a gift box. Gift Cards are sent using the USPS Priority Mail service for a shipping and handling fee of $5.00.

At this time, Gift Cards may be redeemed in one of two ways.

By Mail:
To redeem your Gift Card by mail, please print your shopping cart page and mail it with your gift card and a money order (if the amount of the order exceeds the value of the gift card) to:

If your Gift Card exceeds the amount of your purchase, we will issue store credit for the balance.

Online:
To redeem your Gift Card for online orders, please e-mail Peacock Blue Design Studio with the Gift Card Number and all of the details about the items you would like to order from the “VIEW SHOPPING BAG” page. Within 48 hours we will issue an invoice that includes any remaining balance due on your order that exceeds the value of your Gift Card. If your Gift Card exceeds the amount of your purchase, we will issue store credit for the balance.

Returns
Since each item is made to order for every customer, Peacock Blue Design studio may accept returns on a case-by-case basis for regular Collection merchandise within five (5) days of receipt at the destination address. Please note that we do not count the transit time as part of the five-day return timeframe. We will not refund your money if the merchandise is not returned to us within five days. We will not issue a refund for the shipping fees unless you received items that you did not order.

IMPORTANT: Due to Federal and State laws regarding the sale of hair and wigs, we cannot accept returns for these types of items.

Returned items must be unworn, unused, and in original condition with ALL tags attached. If we receive your returned item and it has been obviously worn, washed, abused, driven over or otherwise harmed in any way, it will be immediately sent back to you at your expense. We treat our clients with kindness and respect, but we do expect the same from our clients in return.

Peacock Blue Design Studio will refund cost of returned item(s) to the same credit card used for original purchase. Peacock Blue Design Studio does not refund shipping and handling fees. Your refund will be processed within three to five business days of receiving the items. You will be notified by e-mail when the transaction has taken place. Any returns that fail to meet the above return policy requirements will not be credited.

Please follow these steps when returning your item

1. E-mail Peacock Blue Design Studio within five days of receipt to receive a return number to write on the outside of your package.

2. Write reason for return next to the item on your invoice, or a copy of the invoice, and pack it in the original box. Please make sure that your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and return number are included on the invoice. If any of this information is missing, it will delay the processing of your refund.

3. After you have received your return number, noted your information on the invoice, and packaged everything up, ship it to us within five days of receipt at the following address:

You can use whatever shipping service you choose to return the item. We strongly suggest that you insure the package and request proof of delivery or a signature confirmation. We understand that these services incur additional costs, but it is well worth the peace of mind! If you decide to ship your return without these added protections, neither Peacock Blue Design Studio nor your shipping company will be responsible for anything is lost or damaged in transit.

4. When we receive your return, we will e-mail you regarding the status of your return. Your refund will be processed within three to five business days of receiving your return, as long as it meets all of the aforementioned return requirements.

Secure Shopping
Peacock Blue Design Studio uses PayPal® for all electronic transactions. PayPal® automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to PayPal®, its server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches PayPal®, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

Privacy Policy
Information collected from our Web server is anonymous and may only be used to determine which items our customers view most often. This information lets us know which items our customers like best, so we can continue to offer designs that keep you coming back for more. Information that you provide in areas such as checkout and our mailing list are retained in secret files on our secure server and store files. Peacock Blue Design Studio will not sell or share your information with any other entity.
